I am all for a lighthearted, laughter filled session and that was just what we got here for Alexander & Alivtina. Their Deepwood Engagement Session was so much fun and despite the beautiful fall colors, warm and light. We wandered around the historic property stopping every now and again to snap a few portraits. They were elated and honestly would have been happy taking portraits anywhere.

Towards the end, I asked if they would like to go into the river. The water was cool and refreshing and shallow enough where they could walk across the river. Getting into moving water is one of my favorite things because it is so fun. It’s a great time to just play in the water, move around and bring out a bit of that inner child we all have.

I think for the next time I will prepare by bringing flip flops for everyone because it was not so great to walk on the path back in bare-feet. (They didn’t mind too much though. 🙂 ) Now this week is their wedding week and I am so excited to see what magic we can create!
